Question 1

Does any African country observe daylight saving time?

Question 6

Does Nigeria change its clocks?

Accepted Answer

No. Nigeria is on WAT (UTC+1) year-round and has never observed daylight saving time. --- **Who should act on this?** Remote team leads scheduling across African offices: stop assuming all of West Africa is UTC+0. Ghana's GMT offset means Accra is an hour behind Lagos. A 9:00 call in Nairobi is 8:00 in Johannesburg. Check the country, not the region, and you will never miss a meeting.
